Flash XML slide show

Here is a simple Flash slideshow swf file that uses XML to control the slides. No Flash modification is necessary

To control the speed and the fading of the slides, modify the associated XML attributes. You only need a basic knowledge of XML to make it work for you.

You can also put multiple Flash Slideshows on the same web page by specifying different XML files. Note the example HTML file uses the latest Macromedia Active Content Template in Dreamweaver 8. If you don't know what it is, click here for more information.

When I start to design a web site for my clients, I often just want to start with a template. I want to quickly mockup a site with full Flash slide show that is part of the design of the page, not as an application that takes over the entire look and feel of the site.

Each slides can be a Flash movie or a JPEG image. You can even create transparent Flash movies to creat simple overlay effects.

This is not a how-to tutorial or source code for Flash. Just download the Flash swf files and incorporate it as part of the web design.

Flash XML Slideshow works with all browsers that supports Flash 7, which includes Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Opera
